Wildlife Club

The Wildlife Club was founded in 2013 in response to interest expressed by several students following a very successful visit to Rathlin Island.  Despite the misty conditions at the West Lighthouse the group enjoyed excellent views of guillemots, razorbills, gannets, kittiwakes and buzzards before an enjoyable hike back to Church Bay.

The following year, the trip was reprised but a local boat was chartered to circumnavigate the island.  This afforded excellent views of the seals and birds, including the famous puffins.

Oxford Island is a popular destination and Belfast Harbour Reserve was visited in March 2015.  A trip to Tyrella Beach is planned .
